Most landing pages fail for one of five reasons: unclear headline, no single action, weak proof, poor load time, or a mobile experience that breaks the layout. Fix those five and everything else follows.
This checker walks through 20 specific criteria. Each is binary — the page either does it or doesn't. Tick honestly. The score is more useful when it hurts.
A page with 12/20 ticks scores 60% — moderate. The most common misses: no FAQ, no trust badges, auto-play video, no thank-you page. Fixing just those four can lift conversion 20–40% in many tests.
A 20/20 page for the wrong audience converts worse than a 12/20 page for the right audience. Audience first, page second.
Clear headline, single primary action, benefit-led copy, social proof, fast load, and mobile-friendly layout. Every element either supports or distracts from the action.
As long as needed to make the case. High-price or complex offers need more. Simple lead capture needs less. Long is fine if every section earns its place.
One primary action. The same CTA can appear multiple times on the page (top, middle, bottom). Multiple different CTAs split attention and reduce conversion.
Under 2 seconds on mobile. Over 3 seconds loses roughly 40% of visitors. Over 5 seconds loses the majority.
